Rick and Nick Palmer get dressed for school in the morning.
The twins emerge from their separate rooms and bump into each other in the hallway of their home on West Garfield Avenue in Wildwood.
More often than not, they're wearing the same color shirt.
'He'll be wearing a yellow shirt, and I'll be wearing a yellow shirt," Nick said. "I'll be like 'C'mon, man.' "
Some things just can't be helped.
The Palmer twins are linked together, and nowhere is that more so than at Wildwood High School, where they are three-sport standouts.
They played basketball in the winter and have sparked the Wildwood baseball team to an 8-6-2 record this spring. Rick, who plays numerous infield positions, is batting .411 with 20 stolen bases. Nick, a center fielder, is batting .277 with 16 runs scored. They both pitch and both have started since they were freshmen.
"If I didn't have sports to keep me busy, I don't what I would do," Rick said. "I live for sports. It makes my day go faster knowing I have something to do."
